The Town Mill Gallery Lyme Regis

An extraordinary exhibition, that is both unique and original. Five artists jostle for glory, each presenting new ideas and showing exemplary skills in their medium.
Never before and definitely never again, will the Mill Gallery in Lyme Regis showcase such wild, beautiful perplexing and mesmerising art.
The exhibition will take place from March 20th to April 11th at the Town Mill Gallery in Lyme Regis.

The exhibitors

Lucy Campbell : Jeweller

Inspired by the coast, Lucy's contemporary jewellery collection focuses on surface texture, with delicate circular forms as a recurrent theme. Natural patterns in the sand, breaking waves, shells and fossils all influence the look of this collection.
Lucy uses silversmithing techniques such as soldering, forging, forming, etching and casting, with colour introduced through semi precious stones.

Simon Connett : Blacksmith

In his work Simon strives to create something beautiful, something that is a marriage of his vision and the functional needs of the object.
" I don't want my work to be put on a pedestal, I want it to be used every day. It's my legacy. "

Mike Jones : Painter

Mike is a self-taught artist taking his first steps into the art world, who finds his inspiration in the natural surroundings of Lyme Regis and the Jurassic coastline
Interested also in the human form, Mike puts a slightly different slant into some of his painting.

Adrian Gray : Sculptor/Photographer

Adrian uses balance in his work to create sculptures that are as illusionary as they are beautiful.
Over the past eight years his stone balancing act has evolved and developed and evidence of this is portrayed in his stunning photographs.

Celia Goodman : Glassworker

Using the seductive qualities of glass and working in three dimensions, Celia is inspired by natural forms, colours and a concern for the environment.
These take the form of sculptural pieces in cast glass, wall panels of the Jurrasic coastline or woodland and organically formed vessels.
